hi. Thanks for plugin
perfect.

Very good job! Thanks for this great plugin Wesley.
Now I can see my blog stat without the need to go to 3rd party sites.
I am particularly stoked that the following stats:
[pagerank]
[technorati_authority]
[technorati_rank]
[alexa_rank]
… are now available to the WP blogger from the one plugin.
I look forward to additional stats as they get added to your plugin.
Regards,
R
Great plugin. Be sure to submit it at Weblog Tools Collection
Do let me know of any other stats that should be included, thanks.
Ajay, already done
Thanks for this. Not sure if I will use it in my posts but I do love statistics.
This may save a bit of time for someone:

post_count: [post_count]
page_count: [page_count]
comment_count: [comment_count]
trackback_count: [trackback_count]
avg_comments_per_post: [avg_comments_per_post]
category_count: [category_count]
tag_count: [tag_count]
link_count: [link_count]
pagerank: [pagerank]
technorati_authority: [technorati_authority]
technorati_rank: [technorati_rank]
alexa_rank: [alexa_rank]

This is awesome!! I can’t wait to get it set up.
Sara
Nice plugin.
Does it work with 2.7???
Yep, works just fine KLajdi
Hi,
So I got the plugin installed and everything works great except my feed count. It says -1. I have the feedburner feedsmith plugin installed and have 93 subscribers. Any idea what the problem might be?
Thanks,
Sara
Is your awareness API activated? Publicize > awareness api > activate in feedburner.
Had the same problem as Sara, just fixed it.
The plugin rocks!
Oops! Even then it shows -1.
I activated the awareness API, but still seeing -1 as well. Does it maybe take time to propogate across servers?
Sara
Can you email me the site you’re using it on, so that I can test it myself as well?
Farrhad, I tested your site, and that works fine for me. Did you recalculate?
Yes, i did recalculate it.
I will add more error reporting so you can see what’s wrong in an updated version which I will release in a couple of days. I’m not sure what could be wrong, it worked for me every time. Your location is set to feedburner.com and not feedproxy.google.com, right?
Wesley,
Everything seems to be set up right on mine, but still showing -1. So weird because everything else is perfect. It really is an awesome plugin. Hopefully the error logs will shine some light on the issue.
Sara
Looks it’s a nice plugin, i already download it for your site.but i think i will use it later,my blog looks empty
[...] Blog Stats [...]
@Sara @Farrhad Feedburner count shows -1 if you have typed your Feedburner ID wrongly. If your feedurner feed url is
http://feeds.feedburner.com/example then your feedburner ID is example. Hope that helps.
You’re the upcoming star i see :p Gonna try this one on one of my blog.
Rude Retro – Thanks for the code shortcut. Excellent!
@Pradeek Yup that was the problem, I thought i was to put in my account id :p Thanks!
Thanks Pradeek, I’ll have to make that more clear in the next version
I didn’t think about that.

Hi,
Thanks for that tip on the Feedburner ID being the partial URL rather than the Feedburner ID number.
An issue I am having is with Technorati:
[technorati_authority] -1
[technorati_rank] -1
The 1st time I calculated stats the rank and authority came up OK but since then they have been showing as -1.
A suggestion for another stat could be “most popular search term”.
Cheers,
R
Hello!
I recently installed your plug-in. However, in the Blog Stats Options, the Current Blog Stats keeps displaying that I have just recently installed the plug-in.
I have pressed the “calculate” button countless times, but after each click, it keeps returning a blank page.
Thanks.
Great plugin ! It works perfectly !
May I suggest an addition ? Adding Compete rank.
I looked at you code and I think such an addition will be easy: you just have to add the necessary PHP code to grab the rank from the <title> tag of the http://siteanalytics.compete.com/www.my-domain.com/ page.
Good luck !
Good suggestion Kevin, I will add that soon
Jomz, really weird, can you send me a list of active plugins you are running on your blog? (contact form)
@admin: thanks for the quick answer !
BTW, I’ve got another one: Quantcast rank. Can be extracted from http://www.quantcast.com/www.my-domain.com
Thanks for the reply.
Since you hinted on the plugins, I checked and deleted some installed, but not activated plugins. I only have the blog stats and my activated plugin running.
If you need the list of unactivated plug-ins, I can still send them… I am guessing, either I installed incorrectly (though I unzipped all the files and placed all the files in the plugin folder) or it is being blocked by freehostia free hosting plan. I am more inclined in believing the latter, which could be some sort of block against scripts that load data from remote servers…
Thanks again for the plug-in.
jomz, freehostia could be it. I would ask them to see if you’re allowed to fetch URLs.
This is a very great plugin! I tried to use it for my blog, everything works perfectly. Except one: it doesn’t show my feedburner subscribers. Tried to recalculate it several times, still showing -1.
[...] WP Stats – This plugin is for the stats junkie (you know who you are). Thanks to Rude Retro for being able to copy and paste this in, Thanks again.
Thanks for the plugin, I’m trying it out now.
One immediate note is that you should add a small hint about the feedburner ID and awareness API into the plugin. I had to come to this page to realize that it’s not my feedburner login or some random feedburner internal id, but rather the stub name, as well as the need for awareness API.

The delicious count seems to be wrong.
Ideally, it would display an accurate count of bookmarked pages on delicious for the domain.
Even better would be if it displayed the total number of saves of all pages by everyone.
But right now the feature doesn’t work right. For my blog delicious_bookmarks says 7, but if you follow http://delicious.com/search?context=all&p=%22beer%20planet%22&lc=1 you can see it’s a lot more than that. It would be really nice to have that fixed and even nicer to have that 2nd feature
Thanks.

Thanks for your suggestions Artem, I will release an update to this plugin sometime next week. About your delicious.com question, currently the plugin only looks at the count for the homepage of your blog, and not the full blog. I’ve looked at your search results, and there seem to be other sites in there as well. (beerplanet.eu)
I’ve searched for just the domain name, but then I get 0 results.
Ah, I see what you mean. That makes sense and I’m not sure if what I’m suggesting is possible due to the way delicious handles data (though it would be most logical to search for all pages in a domain, wouldn’t it?). If you can, it would be really nice to have.
I did see beerplanet.eu but I was trying to illustrate a different point and couldn’t see a way to filter by domain.
Either way, it’s nice to have what this plugin provides already, and I’m looking forward to enhancements and other metrics.

Searching for all pages in a domain would require lots and lots of requests to be sent off to delicious, and would slow things down dramatically during stats fetching. I’ll look into it though and see if there’s another way.
Started a thread at the delicious forum to see if it’s possible: http://support.delicious.com/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=1918.
Great, let’s hope they respond!
@admin
They responded :-/ One may hope it’s going to happen soon, but the verdict is it’s not supported at the moment.

[technorati_authority] -1
feedburner cound -1
I had awareness api enabled and recalculated it too. At first Technorati authority was correct but now its -1!
[...] You should have an advertise page on your blog so Advertisers know all of your stats on one page. You should write what kind of advertising is going to be permitted on your blog. You can sell banners, and links on your blog. On the advertise page you should have at least Technorati Rank, Alexa Rank, RSS Subscribers, Google Backlinks, Yahoo Backlinks, and Google Page Rank. You can also put a link right to paypal so they can buy an ad spot. You can also get a Word Press plugin that will make this a very easy process. The plugin is called OIOpublisher. If you also want a plugin to show you your stats for your blog then you want to download the plugin called Blog Stats. [...]
Very useful plugin.
How about some essential traffic related stats:
Page views/month, (unique) visitors/month?
And what exactly are you counting user_count?
Good luck..
Hello there
I have to be the one, but I don’t know how to use this plugin!
I installated in worpress, but then?
I don’t know where to place user_count: [user_count] and so on…
could someone be nice and explain me?
thank you!
ps : I already use WordPress.com Stats and google analytics, does that counts?
Hi,
i have a lot of problems with [feedburner_subscribers] too. The ID is correct, the awareness API is active but the Feed-Adress start with http://feeds2.feedburner.com. Could this are the problem?
Location i select is feedburner.com, feedburner id is â€designbote“ my fee url is http://feeds2.feedburner.com/designbote
Can you help?
Designer23, I will check this and release an update by early next week. I had been sick earlier this month and couldn’t work on it at that time.
Thank you very much!
Useful plugin… now I am already can see my blog stat for improve blog traffic.
Thanks
It would be nice if the recalculation time can be set to automatic every day or week or so
This plugin is great! But it seems that this plugin doesn’t update my statistics automatically. So I have to ‘recalculate’ it manually. Any suggestion?
Edo, you’re correct. There is an error in the plugin. I’ll fix it in the next few days!
Hi there, the plugin is awesome! Saves a lot of time for me! However, Technorati Authority stays on -1!
Anyway, it does not convert short-codes in sidebar! Can you included that in next version?
Same issue with Technorati Authority here!
Nice plugin, works without problems, easy to use, thanks for share!
It would be nice having a option to show images for these stats.
Hello,
it’s me again. I’m just here to say that freehostia now allowed your plug-in to work. ^_^
Thanks.

Excellent plugin. Very handy.
I second and third the addtions of Quantcast and Compete.
As a sidenote for anyone that’s looking to use the functions of this great plugin in your template, instead of short codes, this does the trick:
Replace alexa_rank with the shortcode of your choice, and you now have a php function to use in your template.
The code didn’t show up there, so here it is without the surrounding php tags:
echo bs_stat(’alexa_rank’);
Quote:
Anyway, it does not convert short-codes in sidebar! Can you included that in next version?
I want to put it as well into my sidebar.
Isn’t that possible?!
Where can i see this Plugin?
I’ve already Activate it.
Great idea Thanks for the plugin..
I am trying to allow your shortcodes in sidebar widgets,by adding the following code to my custom_functions.php file:
add_filter(’widget_text’, ‘do_shortcode’);
But the shortcode text appears: raisewell.org/book
Can you help?

Hi,
thanks for the plugin, I love it!
Just one thing: Although it says it doesn’t count my own visits to my website – it does.
Is there any way to fix it?
Thanks
@Improvingtheweb,
if you’re still alive, looks like Delicious took care of our little problem from earlier. You can now search and restrict results to a specific domain. See http://beerpla.net/2009/08/18/delicious-com-quietly-rolls-out-domain-and-url-searchingfiltering-finally/ for info.
