Description
This plugin adds two widgets to your site: “Most Tweeted Posts” and “Recently Tweeted Posts”. It depends on the Tweetbacks plugin by Yoast, so make sure you have that plugin installed.

The widget options are pretty straightforward, as you can see in the image below:

Plugin Options
By default, the tweetbacks plugin does not generate tweetbacks for posts that haven’t yet been viewed since the plugin was installed.
This means that the “Most popular posts” widget won’t return the correct values at first. I recommend that you just wait a little or navigate the site yourself to generate tweetbacks for older posts.
If you can’t wait, I have created an “importer”. This will traverse all your posts and retrieve the tweets immediately.
Be warned however, this is a long process. The process stops for 3 seconds between every post so as to give time to breathe. Do not close the browser window whilst this is running.

Great! I know many plugins have instructions to insert a line or two of PHP code into the code of the page in order to stylize and position the plugin on the site…that would be wonderful.
Please let me know when you update so that stats can show in posts – not just in side bar. It would be nice to be able to add as a header or footer to a post.
Thanks!
